Wat is a Community?

A Community is a user-driven organizational group within Polarise, formed around shared interests, topics, creators, or identities.

Communities act as social coordination layers that help organize content, participation, and value creation across the platform.

Any user can create a community, and users may join multiple communities at the same time.

Content Distribution & Visibility

When creating content such as Posts, Discussion Threads, or Q&A Bounties, users can choose to distribute their content into one or more communities they belong to.

Publishing content within a community:

  • Increases visibility among users with aligned interests

  • Improves the discovery of relevant discussions and contributions

  • Strengthens engagement signals at the community level

The same content can be shared across multiple communities without duplication or fragmentation.

Community Participation & Identity

Communities are shaped organically through participation rather than centralized moderation.

Members influence the community by:

  • Creating and curating content

  • Supporting discussions and contributions

  • Driving engagement and reputation through consistent participation

Over time, communities develop their own social identity, engagement patterns, and internal reputation signals on-chain.

Communities as Social Coordination Units

Communities on Polarise are more than content groups. They serve as coordination hubs where creators, contributors, and active members align attention and incentives.

As the platform evolves, communities can become the foundation for:

  • Creator collectives

  • Interest-based social graphs

  • Community-led initiatives and incentives

  • On-chain reputation and contribution tracking

This design reflects Polarise’s broader goal of transforming social participation into structured, composable SocialFi primitives

Why Communities Matter

Communities enable Polarise to scale socially without fragmenting users or content.

They provide:

  • Better content discovery

  • Stronger social signals

  • More meaningful participation

  • Sustainable community-driven growth

Rather than isolating users into separate platforms, Polarise communities connect people, content, and incentives within a unified SocialFi ecosystem.
